Japan trip
- Pinged mike, heard nothing
- Pat was talking and was "looking for an international market to come to game market" and we "were a catalyst"
- Arclight is offering a translation and offering at Game Market for a price.
Submissions and screening
- 6 companies, and a lot of others that are TBD
- lot of people at PAXU right now, so responses are slow with that in the current time
- some people say no, and what do we do? ...Reach out to them and say it's an app process and follow up on what's offered?

- Steph: at least 6 companies would be great, booth deal, (10k usd - 1.5 mil yen, combining two booths into one)

- Steve: We sent X people, and these we the gains
- Steph: the limit is at 16 people
- Ross: list of 15 people is be made
- hoping to bring translator from washington, and holly will make the team from steve's office will be a total of 5 (excluded from the 16 people limit)
- Steph sending two offices are providing, what you need to provide for your step grant, and a travel schedule (what is happening during those days)
- Steve: lot of firsts happening on this trip
- David: up to and after, make some PR and pressout of this.
- Steph: it'll be more helpful of the companies than it would be from Steve's office
- Steve: that would be something david might be better suited for this, given knowledge of media connections
- Ross: Comms person? (Steve: that'll be us)
- Beau: catch and catch can meetings and advance meetings established on these schedules?
- Mike: Booth manager's job to keep them (two back rooms, one for storage and meetings). This is a priority, should those calls happening
- Steve: trying to get some meetings together as well
- Steph: time is blocked off in case for this. It is a draft, and we might reach out to US embassy. Drafts will be sent!
- Chris: Was at a german convention, org called Dragon legion (cross euro group, games and education)
- 1: Told Ross (lead guy) would like to work with group when we go to essen
- 2: told about steve and a post and lead guy interested in meeting with him
Workgroup:
- Mike: out sick for a bit, website is up, submissions should be available.
- Stick to dec 4 deadline
- Ideally: dec 7, arclight conversation (a list of people coming, what we think will happen, etc)
- worried: number of people in booth, might have too many of "us" in it. 20 of us, and including traffic from convention
- Make sure we dont have a booth that's too full
- Chris: max of 20 people
- Arclight is saying yes on everything we have asked for
- Suggestion: designers Talk to Arclight about their games, maybe let em know what you do. Mike offering to make introductions with em. "They are interested in talking to us (game companies)"
- Mike: do you need reminders or postings on this?
- Ross: We are working on this, but no need for this.
Discuss go/no go
- This has been discussed and it's a go
- Step grants info on form were to be taken down, but the pitch does not contain that.
- Ross will work people on this process
- Nicole: clarity on this was discussed earlier and documents will have the info on them they can come to us (not the state) for questions.
Chris - cultural training
*** Ross: (commitment for next year) Talked about working/scheduling with embassy people cultural competency program with japanese consulate here in seattle
- learning about culture and dos/donts in Japan
- Ross: working on curriculum on japanese training
- At least an hour of the basics would be a greta place to start
- get business cards
- get ones with japanese translation on the other side, big sign of respect and steps above anyone else

Step grants
- Ross: I'm on it for deernicorn, and other EAT misc
- Mike: who is going for the TGA, and those grants need to be put in
- Loan shark might not go, and theTGA should not be a instant accept
- Shane is capable, Mike will not apply the grant and have Shane do it
- Who in the TGA going, and how is that decided? (the committee should approve the people)
- Ross: Draft reccomendation list being made
- Mike: Interest for contracting a translator for game rules?
- Ross: it's a good idea.
